Monsters of Erland
Kobolds: Kobolds of Erland are the weakest and least threatening of the Beastmen. They live in abandoned mines and forgotten grottos scattered throughout the world. They are more of a nuisance than a significant threat to the Mannish world. The Dwarves of the Wyvern Watch Mountains use domesticated Kobolds to warn them of any foul spirits that inhabit their mines. Gnomes hate Kobolds and the feeling is mutual. Both races will attack each other on site. Dwarves feel that while this is healthy to want to slay Beastmen they do feel that torturing a Kobold might be taking it too far. Kobolds worship the living Dragons of the world. Seeing them as Kobolds that were reincarnated for their great services. It’s rumored that a large settlement of Kobolds lies in the West known as Kobold Hall. This of course is silly and without merit.
Gargoyles: Gargoyles owe their existence to evil magic-users. Created as guardians for towers of knowledge and sinkholes of evil, they will single-mindedly pursue whatever task they are given. Gargoyles are exceedingly greedy and can generally be bribed.
