We decide to head back to the cave. As we leave the Roc Nest, we see that Olf is on guard and inquire where Dagar is. He says Dagar is out at the Stone Tankard visiting Valana. Mîm offers to buy Valana's contract so she could stay at the Roc Nest with the guards. Mîm asks Olf to deliver an order request to Torad Radnar (Spellbook for Bane Rune).

We encounter some horses.

As we turn off the road towards the forest we see Maximus Argentum. We hail him and he says he got our request for a Master at Arms, and that he has someone for us with him. He introduces us to Abaddon. As we talk, Titania detects evil intentions from Maximus and (unbeknownst to the rest of the party) subsequently becomes magically enslaved by him. We accept Abaddon's service and tell him to go to the Roc Nest and talk to Valen. We tell him that we will arrange his affairs upon our return. After he leaves, Maximus beckons to Titania and whispers to her "You're after something here in the wilderness. Bring it to me". Aurelia is able to read his lips and notes what he said.

As we continue to travel towards the temple we notice something odd about some brushes at the base of a tree and find a hidden cache. It contains:

  • 3000SP
  • 50GP crystal
  • 2x 25GP agate
  • 50GP Onyx
  • 25GP Lapis Lazuli
  • 25GP Turquiose

As we continue to the temple, Titania's degraded state becomes obvious. Aurelia confronts her about her interaction with Maximus, and doesn't get a response. Concerned, the party (sans Uthman) decides to camp the night (aurelia stays up the whole night keeping an eye on things).

In the morning Titania's condition does not improve, and Aurelia pushes for the party to seek Genelen's help. Titania still wants to enter the temple, but is convinced to go to Turos Tem with the promise that it will help us return to the temple. We take the shortcut and make it to Turos Tem with plenty of daylight left. We immediately head to Genelen and Aurelia privately conveys her concerns about Titania. Genelen tells us that she will need to prepare the spells in order to discern what is wrong with her. We head to the Travelers Inn. Uthman excuses himself and finds Malyn to consult with him, and request his eventual help in dealing with Uthman's holy companions.

Back at the Travelers Inn, Mim gets into a fight with another patron.

Very chilly, Clear, Gentle Wind

After a discussion with Genelen, she detects that Titania has been enslaved. We discuss how this might have happened, and eventually Genelen dispels the enslavement. We decide to immediately leave for Siadanos to make sure Abaddon isn't fucking with our shit.

Late in the day we arrive at the Roc Nest

Over breakfast, we interview Abaddon, and we learn that Maximus hired him a few seasons ago. Throughout the conversation Titania does not detect evil intentions. After breakfast, Aurelia commissions a needle trapped coin from Torad Radnar. Mim heads to the Stone Tankard and asks for some mushroom drugs. Valorian went picked up his staff which was identified as a magic staff which can heal any number of people once per day. The taxidermist dropped off the dragon head.
