We finally make it back to Turos Tem.

Aurelia purchases an Arbalest (-50GP Aurelia), and takes Titania's sword. She also pays for the horse lodging (-2.6GP Aurelia). Taliesin buys two metamphora (-20GP Taliesin) and three bolas (-15GP Taliesin).

When the The empire sorcerer priests erected a profane temple in the Viaspian forest. It has a strange artifact known as the Stone of Sakkara. Using the stone sorcerers can spawn monsters and magically command the loyalty of monsters. It would corrupt mankind. It was silenced because the sacrifices stopped. It brought it's evil masters great power throughout the fell empire. During the emperian war that toppled the Zar. For centuries the stone lay forgotten. Two years ago an earthquake probably split the dome.

He doesn't want to help us, but if we swear to uphold the law, he will allow us to use his library and cast spells for us. Taliesin does not want to swear an oath to the emperian gods, and leaves. Malyn takes this poorly and begins ranting about how elves are evil. Titania's suspicion is raised and she senses evil intentions from Malyn. Uthman swears the oath to Malyn, Titania and Valorian leave, and Aurelia blends into the background and is forgotten. Titania catches us outside and lets us know that Malyn is evil. Meanwhile, Taliesin meets up with Genelen and requests a blessing and a "blessing". He accidentally talks about a stone, and relays the information we gained from Malyn to Genelen. She reacts with shock, and tells us it must be destroyed - it should not be given to Malyn or anyone. We decide to head to bed and head to the temple in the morning.

Malyn visits Uthman and reveals his true, crippled form. He treats with Uthman to bring him back the stone so that he may heal himself and tells him he will give Uthman the stone afterwards. Uthman agrees to this alliance. He goes back to bed and dreams again of the bloody heart. He sees more clearly this time that the heart is a faceted red gem - he reaches out for it and sees legions of beastmen spread out before him, chanting "UTH MAN (WICH)! UTH MAN (WICH)!".
