Session 13
In The Silk Pony there are 3 tavern workers and 2 prostitutes serving 14 patrons and 8 muscle men. Rooms are 5sp, Taliesin hires a Nicean prostitute -1GP Taliesin, -5sp everyone else. Selene Nictorian introduces herself as the head of the bookies we got our money from and attempts to extort our winnings back. We refuse and after attempts to deescalate fail, fight ensues.
Selene runs upstairs, and her 8 goons are killed fairly easily, with only Titania and Aurelia sustaining wounds.
- 20 XP ea Killing Selene's goons
We head back to The Gilded Lyre On our way back we see several footpads burgling a shop. Taliesin greets them and wishes them well. We overhear one as "Is he in the family?". (Implication is that they are part of the Argollean Family, the ones who run the east side.)
Nethelen 5, Turadras
We head to the Saraos Belledoran as a group so that Titania and Valorian can participate in the rites.
Two men race through the street horses, mud splattering several of the group. We head to the baths.
Aurelia, Uthman and Taliesin pay Roben a visit, and check in on his assignment. He reports that there is a black door emblazoned with a red skull in the vagrant colony underneath the lake district. We ask about the colony and he continues to explain that there was a colony of vagrants near the temple of the hearthfire. The temple helped as much as they could but eventually built a wall. (There was apparently access to the undercity through the catacombs, but this has been walled off. (This is southeast of Nymphe zio.) After Taliesin asks who the argoleans are, a confused roben tells us that the Argolean family is a crime syndicate run by a family with elven blood.
We head back to The Gilded Lyre, pack up our things and say goodbye to Peristo, then head to The Mink
There are 3 tavern workers and 7 prostitutes serving 28 patrons, 7 security and there is a man of indeterminant age and elven ears and unkempt black hair managing the establishment. There are a troop of 4 actors performing.
Taliesin introduces himself to the manager in elvish, and he responds in heavily accented elvish, Aranth Faunus, and they converse about his elvish ancestry. He gives Taliesin some Argolean honeyed ambrosia with saffron and cinnamon and they continue to converse.
The rest of the gang get food and drink. -6sp Aurelia, -Xsp others
We each get rooms (-3GP Aurelia, -3GP Taliesin, -2GP Uthman, and -1GP Valorain). Aurelia puts a pillow in her bed and marks the door to see if it is disturbed before sleeping on the floor in Titania's room.
Late at night, out of the gambling snug, exits a patrician with a beautiful woman with platinum hair and silver eyes on his arm. Taliesin, who had stayed up immediately approaches her and introduces himself. She is Hesta Faunus, and she is quickly enamored with him and ditches the patrician, sitting at a table with Taliesin. As wine is brought to them
Her brother, Liber Faunus is no ordinary merchant. He’s one of the most dangerous men in the city. Working with him is expensive, but he’ll keep his word if you keep yours. At least he is less expensive than the tax collector. Just don’t try to smuggle any goods into the Old District without his blessing. You will regret it if you try.
She's wearing a noble gown, bright silk sash, a purse and a keychain. They hit it off very well, and she joins him for the night.
